Created in 1961, The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is currently facing major disruptions as the Trump administration, led by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has moved to dismantle the agency. Over 50 senior officials have been placed on leave, and overseas missions are being shut down.
